Anxiety

Anxiety is an extremely unpleasant feeling. You may be anxious about something which has happened or worried about something in the future. You may find it hard to sleep.

You may think if you worry enough about an event, it won’t occur. This is magical thinking, and is a way we commonly protect ourselves from pain.

Sometimes anxiety becomes panic. It can be so awful that you fear you’re having a heart attack. You should always get this checked out by a physician. If there is nothing physically wrong with you, you may be prescribed an anti-panic medication. Therapy can be very helpful in treating anxiety and panic.
